-I like grammar. It is embarrassing and true. Some people actually call me the Queen of grammar. I guess it is a good thing cause I am an English teacher, but my grammar nerdiness is something I try to hide

-I loathe when people drive with their signal lights on...sometimes I have to hold myself back from ramming them. Just think of the headline "the grammar queen gets roadrage"

-I believe I was adopted..I still wait for the day when my parents get up the courage to break it to me

-I love the Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen book series. I almost peed my pants when I found out that Robin Jones Gunn finally decided to write another book...I can't wait to read what the gang has been up to!

-I still remember every step to the airband I did in eighth grade to "Everybody" by the Backstreet Boys

-I can't live without diet soda

-I burnt my hand with hot honey in January and have a terrible scar on my hand.People always give me a crazy look when I say I burnt my hand with honey...woe is me!

Education Grad

Well no exciting hobby yet, but I will keep you posted.

I am quickly nearing the end of my university career, and I could not be happier. I am done classes on April 7 and will be finished finals on April 22. Things are looking up! I am soo excited to be done school. I have sent out all my applications for teaching jobs and I am just waiting to see what will happen with that. It is a very exciting time.
This past Friday I had my education grad banquet. I have my big convocation still in May but our banquet was this past weekend. I thought I would post some photos. Enjoy!

Back by "popular" demand...

So I guess I have not blogged since September…I received emails everyday from people begging me to start blogging again. Apparently my lack of blogging has been hard on people!
Ok so I have not received one blog related email during my hiatus but still I know everyone has been waiting with baited breath…So now everyone can breathe easy cause I am BACK.
I shall start blogging more. I think I need to start doing more exciting things so I can blog about them. Hmmm..maybe I will have to take up a weird hobby. Only time will tell…

Ooops..

Well it has been way too long since I've written anything. Teaching is keeping me soo busy. But I promise to blog more. I am going away this weekend for a retreat but come Monday I will write more...watch out...

Gone...

I believe my ability to sleep in is now gone. Every morning I have to pull myself out of bed after hitting the snooze button atleast four times. Getting up to get ready for school is a chore. Now, only after having to get up for 1 week at 6am my body seems to have switched around. I have tried to switch my body around my entire life...to no avail and now suddenly its doing it on its own?! The past two mornings I have planned to sleep in and the latest I have been able to sleep till is 7am. Crazy! Absolutely crazy! I fear that I am turning into a morning person.

Back to School....

Tomorrow morning I start back to school. I have a one day orientation for my internship at the university and then on Monday I start in the highschool. Crazy! Tomorrow is the only day I will be on campus for the entire semester. I am so excited to spend this entire next semester as a teacher. It's weird... I have my own desk in my classroom and everything. I have a closet full of professional clothing. I will be called Miss Britton until Christmas. It all feels a little too surreal right now. It feels like I am gearing up for a giant game of dressup and make believe!
I am defiently ready to go back to school. (Even though I start two weeks before all of other friends in Uni..why does highschool have to start so early?) I have been waiting for my final year of university since my first year haha. I am so excited that I am almost done! I've convinced myself that I only have one semester left because this one doesn't really count cause I'm not on campus. So here's to one semester of 'pretending' to be a teacher and more semester of university work!
